Team History

The New Mexico State Triathlon Team was originally founded in 2007 as the NMSU Race Club. The purpose of the club was to promote a healthy lifestyle while competing in various running, biking, and swimming competitions. Along with this we now compete in the USA Triathlon Collegiate Division which consists primarily of Olympic distance events (1500m swim, 40 km bike, 6 km run). However, we also encourage competition in other distances as well as other races such as: road races, splash and dash (swim then run), duathlon (run and bike), bike races, and many more. We are always excited to have new members and anyone interested can join for free regardless of experience!
